Depois do estranhamento inicial, a constatação de que Comedown Machine pode ser o disco mais ousado dos Strokes, mesmo parecendo o disco solo do Julian Casablancas amadurecido (relevem os falsetes ao final).

Azealia Banks gravando Barely Legal” dos Strokes. No fundo do inconsciente algum neurônio conecta com outro para cogitar uma possibilidade quase imaginário disso funcionar. Ora, os Strokes sempre compuseram quase formulaicamente como uma banda de música eletrônica enfileirando loops de riffs punk e pós-punk (e isso não é uma crítica, pelo contrário), talvez Azealia tenha pego uma veia que os situe na mesma Nova York mesmo que com dez (doze!) anos de distância. Mas aí você aperta o play e é uma fuleiragem do nível “Celine Dion grava com David Guetta”.
