Um dos primeiros discos duplo da fase de ouro do rock dos anos 60 completa 60 anos neste 2026 e ganha uma reedição daquelas. Freak Out!, disco de estreia do grupo Frank Zappa & The Mothers of Invention, será relançado numa edição que traz nada menos do que 105 novas mixagens, músicas ao vivo e outras raras e nunca lançadas (como essa mixagem original “Hungry Freaks, Daddy”, lançada nesta terça-feira, junto com o anúncio do disco, já em pré-venda) num pacote cuja edição mais parruda conta com cinco CDs, um blu-ray, além de um libreto com 26 páginas com fotos raras e ensaios sobre o álbum, além de um mapa de Hollywood desenhado pelo próprio Zappa. O disco inaugura oficialmente a carreira fonográfica do músico dos EUA que já vinha trabalhando com música desde o início dos anos 60, mas só devido à onda da contracultura da costa oeste de seu país conseguiu um contrato para lançá-lo. Zappa só não conseguiu lançar o primeiro disco duplo de sua geração porque uma semana antes Bob Dylan abriu essa picada com outro clássico (que também merecia uma caixa com sobras e extras), Blonde on Blonde.
