The Sun joined her in the studio near her home in Orange County, California, as she began recording her next track – text-messaging themed anthem LOL.
And after a sneak listen we can reveal that the tune is every bit as, erm, catchy as internet smash Friday.
In a message to her critics, Rebecca hit back: “You think you are bringing me down and making me not want to do this any more. But you’re making me stronger and want to do it even more.
“Here I am in a studio working on my debut album. I’m going to prove you wrong. Just like Friday, the new songs are pretty catchy.”
