E além do prequel do Planeta dos Macacos, outro filme retoma uma franquia clássica do zero. O novo filme do Conan não tem nada a ver com os protagonizados por Schwarzenegger e retomam as histórias do criador do bárbaro, Robert E. Howard. O trailer dá o tom do novo filme:
