A trilha sonora da história de origem de Bob Dylan

Mais uma vez Bob Dylan mergulha em seu passado e sincroniza um volume de sua extensa Bootleg Series – em que oficializa gravações piratas em coletâneas com vários discos – com um filme lançado sobre um período de sua carreira. A primeira vez foi há dez anos, quando transformou o sétimo volume da série na trilha sonora do documentário que Scorsese dirigiu sobre sua fase elétrica, No Direction Home. Agora ele aproveita o sucesso do cinebiografia Um Completo Desconhecido para lançar a coletânea que mais volta no tempo em sua própria história, ao anunciar a caixa Bootleg Series Volume 18: Through The Open Window, 1956-1963, que reúne gravações do tempo em que ainda era um adolescente roqueiro em Minnesota até se tornar o farol da cena folk de Nova York no início dos anos 60. A nova seleção chega para público no mês que vem (já em pré-venda, claro) e reúne 139 faixas, sendo que 48 delas nunca foram lançadas, incluindo a íntegra da apresentação que Dylan fez no Carnegie Hall nova-iorquino no dia 26 de outubro de 1963. Dividida em três versões – uma com oito CDs e duas com os melhores momentos da caixa principal, que vem ou como CD duplo ou caixa com quatro LPs -, a nova compilação traz gravações caseiras, apresentações em pequenas casas de shows, jam sessions e versões prematuras de alguns de seus maiores clássicos, além de um livro com 125 páginas que traz um ensaio escrito pelo historiador e crítico Sean Wilentz e fotos raras. Para anunciar o novo lançamento, ele antecipa a música “Rocks And Gravel (Solid Road)”, que ficou de fora de seu segundo disco, Freewheelin’ Bob Dylan.
