E o clipe novo do Yo La Tengo?

E ainda no assunto Yo La Tengo, vale registrar o show de despedida que o trio fez no Maxwell’s no último dia 15 de junho, na casa de Hoboken, subúrbio de Nova York, em que eles começaram a tocar há mais de 30 anos – “Esta banda não existiria sem este lugar”, disse Ira Kaplan logo no início da apresentação. O NYC Taper registrou todo o show (dá pra baixar lá), que foi dividido em duas partes: na primeira, acústica, a banda tocou apenas clássicos de seu repertório, como “Tom Courtnay”:

Na segunda, voltaram com os instrumentos elétricos e o nome de Condo Fucks, para tocar apenas versões de gente como Muddy Waters, Fugs, Slade, Richard Hell, Small Faces, entre outros – e encerraram a noite com esta versão para “This Is Where I Belong”, dos Kinks.
