Você já deve ter ouvido essa: a casa noturna londrina Fabric tem uma série de CDs (Fabriclive) que já lançou mixes de grandes nomes da cena eletrônica desta década (James Murphy, Kraft Kuts, Spank Rock, Herbaliser, Diplo, Freestylers, Glimmers e os Plump DJs já lançaram discos pela série) convidou o Justice pra fazer seu disco – e devolveu o disco depois de ouvi-lo. A desculpa oficial é que a dupla francesa fez um mix de 44 minutos, menor do que eles esperavam. Mas fala-se que, na verdade, a casa não topou o set da banda porque lida com músicas… brega. É o elitismo cool, que se criou junto com a eletrônica nos anos 90 e que tem no minimal e no eletro suas piores caricaturas, sendo pego com a mão na massa. No meio do set dos caras (que começa com a fantástica faixa de reapresentação do Sparks ao público no final dos anos 70, com Giorgio Moroder) há momentos deliciosos e cafonas, como o tema de Os Embalos de Sábado à Noite Continuam (do irmão do Stallone, o Frank), quase no final, além de referências aos samples usados por eles mesmos (a música original do Goblin que virou “Phantom“, o teclado que inspirou o remix para “As Above So Below” do Klaxons). Felizmente, o “não” do clube não foi o suficiente para pará-los – e o mix virou o Justice XmasMix ou (FabricMix), mandado só para alguns amigos da banda em forma de CD que, durante este mês de janeiro, ganhou a internet.

This is a live Flow Dynamics mashup DJ set of funk, soul, hip hop, latin, disco, beats, and breaks, recorded in Barcelona as part of the Gold Diggers Festival at the Sala Apolo on 25th October 2007. I wanted to do something a little different with my dj sets on tour, so I basically had a pile of loops, grooves, songs, acapellas, and song snippets, and then used midi controllers and computer gear to trigger bits and pieces in and out. It means I could do a pile of live remixes and re-edits and make improvised mashups on the fly. Lotsa fun 😉 You can expect to hear lots of exclusive edits, live remixes and general mashup madness including Flow Dynamics favourites, old school dusty funk classics, and the latest tunes from around the globe. Semaninha parada por aqui por conta da temporada em BH com debates (em breve, em vídeo) e a primeira intervenção Gente Bonita num festival, felizes por estarmos espremidos entre as Killers Shoes e o Miranda. Além de um dos melhores shows de 2007 (o LCD) e outro showzão do Battles (se tu curte pós-rock, não perca – eles ainda passam por Curitiba, São Paulo e Goiânia – aliás, o Goiânia Noise Festival da semana que vem promete… Além de abrigar sob um mesmo teto shows como Sepultura, Pato Fu, Jupiter Maçã, Cordel do Fogo Encantado, Móveis Coloniais de Acaju e Kassin + 2, ainda tá rolando um papo que o Adriano do Cansei de Ser Sexy vai estar no meio do público do debate em que o Dú, ex-empresário do Cansei e dono da Slag, vai participar), ainda rolou uma discotecagem bala do Shir Khan, que exibe seus dotes na mixtape deste sába(quase)do(mingo).

Aliás, a dica do set do DJ alemão (o nome ele tirou do tigre do Mogli, lembra?) também serve pra dar um toque sobre o blog de MP3 DJ Annonymous, que chama um monte de bambas (Jesus Presley, Slackers Delight, Q-Burns, Alex Moulton, The Tape) pra oferecerem sets para as massas – o site ainda tem outro set do alemão, clica aqui ó. Classe A. O set do Shir Khan tu baixa aqui (DJ Annonymous – Shir Khan) e a lista com as músicas estão neste JPG – como ele tocou em BH, tem Klaxons, Zongamin, Simian Mobile Disco, Justice e Mr. Oizo. Tava no Rii no fim de semana e não tive tempo de atualizar a dica do sabadão, então segue agora. “Avalanches Gimix” é a mixtape cláááássica do grupo Avalanches, lançada em maio do ano 2000 e que, depois de ter recebido negativas das editoras das maiorias dos envolvidos, foi “reduzido” no ótimo Since I Left You, o disco de estréia dos caras.
