O nova-iorquino Eli Escobar dá um trato na faixa-título do novo EP do Holy Ghost!, “Crime Cutz”, e a tira da pista de dança setentista rumo a uma distopia cyberpunk mais própria da década seguinte.

Sem lançar músicas novas desde 2013 (ano passado só empacotaram um monte de remixes na coletânea Work for Hire), a dupla nova-iorquina Holy Ghost, formada por Alex Frankel e Nick Millhiser, anuncia um curto EP de quatro faixas para o final de abril. E o fazem mostrando o clipe da irresistível faixa-título, “Crime Cutz”. Coisa fina.

O folkzinho do sueco José Gonzalez sempre teve o pé na pista de dança – e desta vez quem se dispõe a recriar uma faixa sua pra pista é a dupla nova-iorquina Holy Ghost, que incluiu o belo trato dado pra deliciosa “Let it Carry You” em seu seu disco de remixes que está vindo aí.

Nossa querida dupla nova-iorquina Holy Ghost prepara-se para registrar oito anos de frilas remixando seus melhores contemporâneos. A coletânea Work for Hire reúne remixes que Alex Frankel e Nick Millhiser fizeram pra nomes como MGMT, Phoenix, LCD Soundsystem, DataRock, Cut Copy, Moby, RAC, Blood Orange, entre outros. O grupo reuniu os remixes antigos num mesmo set do Soudncloud, mas deixou de fora as três inéditas feitas só pra coletânea, um pro José González, outro pra Katy Perry e um terceiro pro Hanni El Khatib, que teve sua deliciosa “Two Brothers” turbinada pelos dois abaixo:
